Good advice for baked salmon
Choosing fillets of a similar thickness ensures that all the pieces finish cooking at the same time. If you prefer a bit of extra flavour, you can add some crushed garlic to the oil before rubbing it on the fish. Make sure not to overcook the baked salmon as it can become dry if left in the oven for too long. You can check the internal temperature with a thermometer to see if it has reached 62 degrees Celsius. Letting the fish rest for a couple of minutes after baking helps the juices stay inside the meat. Fresh herbs like dill or chives also work very well instead of parsley if you have them in the fridge.
Serve the fish with steamed vegetables or a light potato salad for a complete meal.
