How to get air fryer waffles ready
Prepare the batter: Sift the plain flour and baking powder into a large mixing bowl. Add the caster sugar and a pinch of salt then whisk the dry ingredients together. In a separate jug, beat the eggs with the milk, melted butter and vanilla extract. Pour the wet mixture into the flour and whisk until the batter is smooth and free from lumps.
Fill the moulds: Place your silicone waffle moulds on a flat surface or a tray. Carefully pour the batter into the moulds, making sure to fill each section evenly. Do not overfill them as the batter will rise slightly during the cooking process. Use a small spoon to push the batter into all the corners of the mould for a perfect shape.
Air fry the waffles: Place the filled moulds into the basket. Cook the Waffles at 180C for approximately eight to ten minutes. Check them after eight minutes to see if they are firm and golden. If your is small, you may need to cook them in batches to ensure the air can circulate properly around the moulds.
Crisp and serve: Remove the moulds from the and let them sit for one minute. Carefully peel the silicone away from the waffles and place them directly back into the basket. Cook for a further two minutes to crisp up the edges if desired. Serve them immediately while hot with your choice of syrup, honey or fresh berries.
